How Trump Will Win Again and Why the Democrats Don't Actually Care

rwplusb.substack.com

It might have seemed laughable just two short years ago, but as time moves on the possibility is solidifying more and more that Trump will return to office when the next general election rolls around.

A quick look at the polls is increasingly showing us seemingly that a displeasure with Joe Biden is more to blame for this potential future than love for the former president, but I’d argue that we instead have a combination of blame that we can point to here.

Remember first that Biden was actually fairly popular with decent poll numbers early into his presidency, especially as his administration was implementing a more populist approach to things.

In fact, a look at 2021 polls shows us that it wasn’t until August that momentum really began to sway into the negative.

It was at that time that the mainstream media began to collectively dump on the Afghanistan withdrawal. Of course, if those outlets had a backbone, weren’t sensationalized cesspools, and weren’t owned by corporations that had benefited from that specific forever war, they would have been preaching a different message.

Perhaps they would have told Americans that the quickness in which Afghanistan fell away from systems we had failed to ever actually implement was simply an inevitability and that all that was proven by the quickness of it all was that all of the lost lives and wasted imperialistic greed was just fruitless bullshit.

Nope, they instead brought on the pillars of death, rehabilitation war criminals, to tell us all how terrible Biden was.

Delta was also starting to storm through the country, souring people that had hoped Biden’s victory in 2020 would result in an end of the pandemic.

Is that a fair stance to even take?

No, of course not, but it’s one taken by many regardless of fairness.

Note that I actually believe that there were many things Biden could have done that would have reduced the lethality of COVID in America, but I never expected such actions because Joe is a capitalist and capitalism doesn’t allow for such actions.

His numbers continued to be in the dumpster from there.

The moderates of the administration blame the polling figures on populism. Remember, Biden promised to be the next FDR. There was some hope early on that he’d at least come within a mountain’s reach of that, which was about the most that sane people were hoping for, but instead Joe has doubled back and rejected leftist measures.

Many of his speeches have included touches of hope for some, but a peak behind the curtain tells a different story.

Scapegoat heels, Manchin and Sinema, are the latest tools Democrats utilize when voters point out inaction.

“How could Biden get anything done? The answer is to give this party even more power!”

But, even with control of the House, Senate, and White House, very little has been done. Biden hasn’t been pushed to the left, he has frequently mocked or deflected on questions of dropped campaign promises, and the people have taken note.

Some of his promises require nothing more than a flick of his pen. Others require usage of the bully pulpit. Considering Manchin, for example, has a corrupt daughter and many exploitable habits of his own, it’d be easy to push for action.

But Democrats don’t actually collectively want to see their promises fulfilled.

Remember, Nancy Pelosi ran on Medicare for All style policies two decades ago.

Give the people a bit of hope, some crumbs of cake, and then tell them they have to obey your power and if you don’t you deserve to be shamed.

Meanwhile, Trump has been all but cancelled by the largest of social media outlets. Since speed is a drug that destroys humanity, and Trump was the best example of political speed, it has actually done Democrats an injustice to have his bans remain in place.

People need to constantly hear how batshit crazy he still is. That, any time he is asked about what he’d do better, all he can do is ramble about how he was robbed. But, few are hearing that right now and the polls are showing a swing back in favor of 45 over and over again.

Facebook, Twitter, etc have simply put in place a backfiring censorship thorn that will open up the door for Trump 2024. They won’t accept any blame, of course, the same way that CNN and crew refuse to accept that they are a big part of the reason the man won in 2018.

Republicans figured out quickly that the upcoming midterms require no policy promises. They simply need to continue to control the culture war game and then let the Democrats hang themselves in their inability to fight back.

That is why we are nearing a red wave in a few short months.

The Democrats actually know this and that the solution is action. A clear choice has been made.

Polls show clearly that Americans are worried most right now about their wallets and purses. With 65% of citizens living check to check and Democrats in complete power at the top, it makes it pretty clear that enthusiasm is long gone for the party in blue.

Trump’s feverish base, a displeasure with Biden’s job, and a lack of enthusiasm are a tower that might prove unclimbable and morality has always meant little in capitalism, so an arrogant belief that Donald’s previous acts actually matter in the face of that tower truly hold little weight, too.

It is notable, then, that we envision what the 2024 election will look like.

It is very likely, as mentioned above, that Republicans will have far more power again very shortly. It is also very unlikely that Trump will face any true consequences for his illegal acts and is all but certain that he will easily take the Republican primaries.

The media will swan to him, promoting every word and giving him endless coverage to boost their own ratings.

It is completely acceptable to expect no major shifts to populist policies from the Biden administration and the current trajectory for the country suggests that people will be no better off heading into the general.

The result?

Trump back in office and Democrats looking for any excuse they can, many blaming leftists with no power.

This sounds like a horror story, but what I find even more troubling is that I don’t think Biden and crew actually care all that much.

I’d love to say Biden truly felt Trump policies were acts of evil, like he all but suggested, but many of those anti-humanitarian, anti-populist policies have been kept in place and/or defended in court by this administration, seeking to maintain their legality.

I suppose he did promise that nothing fundamental would change.

It is this reason that I laugh when Republicans, falling for culture war drama, complain about Biden without realizing they still won in 2020.

Capitalist Joe, for example, is promoting an upcoming budget that increases military spending, funding to the cops, and will give more cash to border patrol (including for new fencing and maintenance of existing fencing.)

When you have as much control of the public side of the game as Democrats have right now, they’re expected to act. Not doing so requires scapegoats to avoid giving up the game too much, but that requires time, effort, and money.

There are, for sure, many career politicians with a d next to their name that want to hold office. They want the large amounts of cash from corporate donors, the TV time, etc. Few want to actually be sincere public servants and even fewer of those get elected.

But too much power is a hassle.

If Biden wants to win, a clear strategy right now is to look at the polls and to act accordingly. That means he’d have to act like a modern FDR and he’d also have to ignore the attacks from Republicans and their outlets (which would come regardless of what he did).

Instead, we’re getting more placating to the right and a refusal to act.

It makes sense, after all, since the Democrats of today are just the Republicans of yesterday.

So, expect Biden to continue to make a few promises that will go nowhere, things to get worse as United States neo-feudalism continues, and Trump back in power sooner than later.
