I wonder sometimes how many others have realized the game at hand.
That both parties are corporate owned. That the things that they want to get done, get done. That the promises are only fulfilled if they’re trying to hand out a crumb of cake to the peasants.
Do the culture war “victories” that partisan contributors will inevitably claim before moving onto the next one even matter when in the face of looming threat, we are stand to fail?
There are numerous warning bells ringing loudly in the near distance and crumbs won’t fix anything.
World War III, if humanity survives it, would be nicknamed the Water Wars. They’ve honestly already started. Many corporations that have purchased their rights to own the substance we require to survive are very aware of this.
Should I continue to clap for a President that has backed out of nearly every promise, just because he ended a war that was meant to be over before it started? It’s not like we’re not still fighting wars. We’re just switching targets a bit.
Fighting for dear life to remain relevant enough in the eyes of the world to keep the USD as it is.
Empires have fallen that were far greater and lasted far longer.
Let me step back and say that I do not wish for any of these things. I consider myself a patriot in many ways, in fact. The reason that I have the political leanings that I do is because I want this nation to be what it already believes it to be.
I just fear we are farther away from that dream than ever before.
But we’re supposed to still be blaming Biden solely and directly for everything that is going wrong right now, right?
The dude has made it easy on folks, too.
He was elected simply because enough of America wanted to remove the loud orange man. I am not sure that the Democrats actually understand that, but I promise my first question to Joe would be related to the subject.
We’re supposed to blame the Senate Parliamentarian, though. Anyone that understands politics will understand how laughable an excuse that truly is. Dangling carrots and scapegoats galore. It’s a requirement when they won more seats than they wanted.
Check out how much money is donated to the blue wing when Republicans have something they can scare voters with. They never have to even fight, just put a few boisterous faces in front of a camera and find a target to point fingers at.
Now, if you want to really see how defeated many Democrat voters are, tell one you voted for someone other than Biden during the election of 2020. Tell them it was for Howie Hawkins or Gloria La Riva for bonus points.
It doesn’t have to even be true.
I was told by a trans friend of mine that I hate the community that I have been an ally to for most of my life.
I’m not asking for pity. I just find it sad. I am aware this might appear arrogant, but I promise that’s not the intention.
When a campaign I was working for last year, as campaign manager, was nerfed by the Democrat in the race, I was met with shrugs. Dirty tricks are fair and voter suppression allowed when the moral choice is to support blue no matter who.
It’s a cheer for a decent chuck of the nation.
That’s actually not true either, as around a third of eligible voters skipped the election last year and rarely vote, if at all.
I know, we’ve made it a hassle to vote in this country, but alas the large amount of folks I know that refuse to care is rather large. Even if that’s anecdotal, it feels relevant when matched with the previous portion.
You might not care, but your bosses and insurance companies and schools do and they’re going to use that lack of interest to fuck you.
