Red's Pro-Wrestling Digest no.112
We're using two episodes of my oh so DDramaTic! series for this edition of the Pro-Wrestling Digest because this company is too damn good. Make sure to check out Red’s Wrestling+ Blog for more wrestling related content and return here once a month where you can find an exclusive edition of the Digest on the RW+B Substack!

Chiitan☆ and Brookes continue their drama in a cold open to set the tone properly, before leading into the new oh so DDramaTic! package and the opener of the evening. A quick, cheap plug, but If you are new to DDT, I strongly recommend watching this playlist series of mine. It’s pure entertainment and reminds you that wrestling is supposed to be fun.
Up first, Chiitan☆ and Brookes face off with Pokotan and others involved. That’s the vibe. Not enough of the match itself ran here, but as a huge fan of stuff like Wrestle-1’s old show, I enjoyed this in this format. The controversial Susaki figure debuted and got the W mark, then mascot drama in post with Pokotan and C-Star being played so straight ran as the perfect follow up. Excellent!

Next, we join in-action as Shunma challenged Uncle Jun for the DDT Extreme Championship in a fucking Toys, Ladders, and Chairs match. Wanna see sick bumps on LEGOS? Hell yeah you do, you sick fuck! Well this is your moment. Akiyama slammed his knee into the challenger, brained Kat with a bottle, then suplexed the kid onto the building blocks for a near fall early into this great clip. Moments later, a failed double team saw a protected finish result in a title change. Mic time followed, with Kojima talking shit to the old fart. Catchphrases and ideas of purple belts would follow.

Endo put the Universal Title up against MAO next, giving us our first MUST-SEE MATCH of the night. If there’s one dude in DDT that I want to see get the success that Takeshita is finally getting, it’s Endo. This roster is stacked with underrated performers but this dude is just a damn star. Here, he went spot for spot until finally an In the Sky did the deal and landed Tetsuya the victory.
After, a graphic ran teasing a former WWE Superstar was going to challenge for the belt and that he’d be officially announced at a later date. We’ll get to that in a bit.

The main event saw the KO-D Openweight Title defended as champion, Yuji Hino, faced Super Sexy Yuki Iino. Check your toxic masculinity at the door, because this was big meat sex. I mean, there weren’t blowjobs and bare-ass stink face finishes, like on the last episode, though. Instead, this one saw some blows and then a Fucking Bomb result in a retention. Elder God Kenta didn’t enjoy this at all but presented the belt to the big meat mountain after anyway.

I agree strongly with Hino’s post-match claims, by the way. This company truly is a place for pro-wrestlers to be pro-wrestlers and a place full of talent constantly adding to an already fantastic catalog.
To plug one of my favorite sites, HERE is a full result run down of the show for folks seeking additional info on this loaded show. Check out their coverage of the rest of this set, and more, when you’re done!
When times are tough everyone should look to Pheromones for inspiration
Next up, we head to King of DDT coverage.
The the first of two videos, in digest form, that start this episode that look at the bulk of the tournament. None of this ran long enough to rate, but it all made for an exciting watch. I mentioned before that I used to absolutely love the Wrestle-1 weekly show and this felt a lot like those old days.
These also felt like a perfect showcase of how damn good this roster is. The action and drama were in full effect here and I had a blast watching every second. Taking a look back and actually checking out this bracket, I have to say this was simply destined to be a contender for Tournament of the Year and the result solidified that stance.
This was worked super well and everything was logical enough. There are a few results I think were clearly political, but whatchagonnado? Brookes was not just the eventual winner, but also the MVP in everyway possible. But, I’m getting ahead of myself…
The third video of the second set saw my favorite drunk dude waiting for El Desperado. Watch this excellent video, folks!
Remember when Sandman would tell people backstage how they should tweak their stuff and then go out and throw just the worst shit out there?
Next up, we have Higuchi and Ueno in the first semi-final.
Yuki was his normal, excellent self, showing how athleticism is just a word to him. Higuchi, though, was just too much in the end and his fire allowed him to burn on long enough to land a Brain Claw and get the 3-count.

Brookes went over Uncle Jun in the opposite semi. A Praying Mantis Bomb landed Chris a finals spot. Not a lot here, admittedly, but enough to show that Brookes got a big win over a grumpy vet with pull.

It’s BURNING versus DAMNATION T.A. in our next one.
This one has some mud, but was important enough to include. Reviews are mid at best but you’ll be happy to hear you only have to watch a dive, a 619, and a shooting star press here. After, the news was revealed that the former WWE Superstar was…
Cardona.
Your thoughts on the dude will decide how you take this news. I’ll leave it at that and won’t ruin the result of that match between him and Endo here. You can wait til I cover it or look it up if you are interested.
Steph’ll be there if you care.
Piercing Death! It’s Shunma defending that Extreme belt against Okatani. Sadly, THIS happened, though. Instead of another amazing moment for the champ as he continues to prove that he’s truly an elite performer, we had an unfortunate table spot result in an injury and quick finish. No real point in rating this, but it’s important enough to include despite being so unfortunate.

Wishing a speedy recovery for Shunma. I see he’s still out and didn’t notice any updates the last I looked.
A fucking lariat starts this one and Higuchi keeps it going, landing big shots on Brookes over and over while failing to put him away. Chris looked beaten down, selling his anguish and determination, but tried making his comeback nonetheless.
His efforts were made worthless as Kazzy continued to no-sell them all, brushing them off like the badass he is. It wasn’t until Brookes managed to lock-in a sweet Grounded Octopus Stretch while his opponent flailed around that this finally ended, though.
Beautiful stuff.

I loved almost everything that I pulled and I put together the two episodes in the hopes to get more eyes on the product. I know time is an enemy to all and that there are loads of fans that really wanna see more stuff, but just don’t know how to do it let alone in a timely manner.
That’s what oh so DDramaTic! is all about.
Check the playlist episodes out or just check out the embedded videos that most catch your eye, but don’t sleep on DDT. The last edition of the Pro-Wrestling Digest, also focused on DDT content, got me in trouble. That’s the type of company this is. And I love every damn second of it.
