Welcome to the latest edition of the Red Rose Register. New editions are published, typically, on every 2nd and 4th Wednesday. This installment breaks that new plan already, landing on a random Thursday, but I offer no apologies to anyone somehow inconvenienced by its existence. This, the 15th entry into the RRR series, will also see me add in mWo (a look at NY/NJ metro area sports) content while NERD5H1T, which takes a look at fun nerd-world stuff that caught my eye, will be added to future editions! I am considering an Open the Dungeon Gate e-zine for those that might be interested in such things.
Thanks, as always, to anyone that stops by for few words or so.
Red Rose News
Chilean President Boris is calling on all in their government to reconsider the new constitution following voters rejection.
MSM has admitted that math and reading scores dropped considerably due to pandemic lockdowns. That results in a country, already suffering with a weak education system, inevitably producing adults down the line even less capable than we already do. Another way the “leaders” of The Great United States failed their citizens miserably in the days of COVID-19.
Libs of TikTok is acting like a piece of shit, once again.
A new California bill looks promising for fast-food workers, just signed by Newsom, increases their wages to up to $22-an-hour. A reminder that not only teens work for such companies, which is why you can get a cheeseburger for lunch and not only after school hours.
A refusal to return things to “normal” is on the ticket this November, ladies, gentlemen, and nonbinaries. The midterms are nearing closer and closer and all of the corporate stooges are sprinting towards the finish line. On the far-right, we have pocketbook issues taking center stage. On the moderate-right, abortion rights, instead. That along with identity politics and whataboutisms tied at the helm.
Which side is more to blame on the insanity that is reality?
The Democrats now have a slight advantage thanks to The Trump Effect. A much better advantage versus where they were just weeks ago. The security state is creaming their shorts in response. They’ve finally realized that showing off Trump as much as possible right now, giving him the free publicity that got him in office the first time, also a tactic they’ve been doing to iffy results in smaller races, helps win over and bring in voters that might skip out otherwise.
Biden won because he wasn’t Trump, after all.
Does Trump get indicted right before as a big push? Do they actually care to maintain Congress? I mean, they’ve been getting PR wins lately for awful, misnamed policies and they likely love the idea of getting jerked off for doing absolute fuck all.
My current prediction?
The Dems drop the House, keep the Senate. It’s just far shakier than it had been.
This feels worth sharing here…
I encourage you to read the thread and consider the words. I’d love to see more on this and would consider researching it and writing something up on it, too. Let me know if that’d be interesting to you, whomever you may be.
Doocy called out the terrible WH Press Secretary’s words in an old tweet this week. She called out the 2016 election and called it stolen and drew obvious comparisons to the attitudes liberals have toward conservatives when they voice similar takes for the 2020 results. Remember the 2000 election? It was a valid shot considering you’d get taken off of most social media sites these days if you copied and pasted them about the later election and made them live.
Speaking of Trump, recently enough at least and through allusion more recently, a judge he appointed has approved a special master to the investigation. This conflicts with DOJ desires. Expect a lot of litigation to slow down any movement. Dipshit Donnie got a W here, it seems.
Dark Brandon leaned into the moniker and gave us a speech that felt like it belonged in a prequel Star Wars flick. He turned away from his buddy-buddy attitude with Republicans, triggering some of the most easily triggered Americans that exist, and called out MAGA folk for being terrorists. In the process he ignored his war criminal behavior and left out anything, of the honest sort at least, regarding the economy.
Telling someone to vote against something is the only way you can win when you’re unpopular. A LOT of women did just register to vote recently. I wonder why…
Remember when you’d get removed from social media if you suggested COVID shots were going to become annual, like the flu shot? Yeah, Fauci has now said variant-specific boosters will be exactly that. I am very pro-vax, but we need to be honest about things, people.
You can smell the war in the distance.
Biden wants billions more for Ukraine. We’ve already sent over 40b. Much is meant to be used directly to ramp up aggressive behaviors, backing up their economy along the way. Stock buybacks are also tied in here. While we’re technically spending a small amount of our GDP versus others, we’re still pushing out historic amounts on worthless money for this proxy war aiding a corrupt state.
He’s going to get a thumbs up, for the record.
Jackson is still without clean water, as are many other US cities and towns.
John Stewart awarded a neo-nazi because 2022 is fucking insane.
Protests in Indonesia have seen thousands in major cities, speaking out against fuel prices.
metro World order
Rutgers proved me wrong, based off of a prediction I made on a recent RW+B Podcast episode, in their besting of Boston by a single point. The score was 22-21, with the Knights going blow for blow while using a turnstile technique at QB. A late in the 4th TD and a big stop on D put things to bed. They face Wagner this Saturday at SHI in a very winnable game that could see this rag-tag group start 2-0. To add to this good cheer, for Rutgers fans at least, a talented RB out of Florida, Jashon Benjamin, has committed to the team.
If you’ll permit, while I am clearly very aware of New York state geography, I also know a lot of people in the big fucking apple dig The Orange. I’d love to include them moving forward as a result of that and, of course, my own personal ties with the school and town.
Syracuse aren’t a team that I am expecting much from, like all New York area football teams this year in general. I will take literally any victory and some signs of growth as my reward for now. This was an early reward as it saw The Orange have the heat! I’m too honest a person, bluntly so, to pretend to not be biased here. I thoroughly enjoyed this performance and attitude on display! They had true momentum and they used it, putting Louisville away. Such a terrible city that is, by the way. Ignore at all cost while on road trips. They face Connecticut this Saturday at 7 in a game that should be theirs, and Dino’s, to lose.
The Jets and Giants kick off their seasons on the 11th, with the green side playing at home on the tragic anniversary.
KD is at it again, this time whining that he isn’t rated higher in 2k. The talented primadonna was rated 96 instead of the maxed out 99 and has him tied with LeBron, Curry, MVP Jokic, and Embiid. Giannis, at 97, is the highest rated played in the game. I repeat, Durant is mad because a video game isn’t sucking him off as much as he would like.
That’s pathetic.
The Mets are depressingly skidding and have set a terrible precedent, having lost three straight by 6+ versus dumpster teams. They finally bounced back Wednesday, beating the Pirates 5-1 and 10-0 during a double in what was a pair of bounce-back wins, but will need to keep a far more focused approach in tact moving forward as the post-season nears to ensure a running start towards the World Series. We NEED a Yankees/Mets World Series, people!
Tonight, the Yankees have Minnesota in NY, hosting on a 6-game W streak. Note that the unit, after yesterday’s double, sent Andujar back to Triple-A ball and optioned Deivi to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, too. The Yankees beat the Twins 7-1 and, in 12, 5-4, during that set.
Check back for more mWo content, and a new TikTok channel as well, soon!
That’s it from me this week. Have a fantastic weekend!
