The Red Rose: Biden, enemy of the Earth, part one

I was torn on whether to keep the lineage of The Red Rose Register running or not. It was that or making this a number one. Instead, I am removing the number system completely. It’s just essays, articles, editorials. It’s a way for me to vent about the world around us, as the working class continues to get fucked with little fight and as the world burns down around us.

Speaking of…

He’s right! That is a scary fucking image, people. That I am currently in Minnesota and have been dealing with awful, smoky skies keeping me largely indoors (like 2020) for weeks is messed up. That I have friends that I love posting online from Canada, needing to give updates on their safety is messed up. That I am seeing images of blazes murdering hundreds in a place most consider paradise, and the awful response of our POS POTUS that followed, is messed up.

Is it the exhaustion of capitalism that is keeping too many of us asleep?

How many of you are truly aware of what Joe has done to further destroy our only, God given home? How many will go and vote for the senile war criminal once again next year, pat yourself on the back, and then go back to brunch after you shame third party voters for not doing the same?

Far too many, for sure.

The shadow of Trump is just too much for some of you, after all.

Well, let me go ahead and take you for a ride. Note, quickly, that I will not be debating the Climate Crisis here. If you still don’t believe that the planet is screaming out and we are responsible, than I am sorry that corporate interest groups have lied to you so successfully. I bet you would’ve doubted cigarettes’ link to cancer not that long ago, too.

First, we’ll start big with the Willow Project.

“No more drilling on federal lands, period, period, period.” Biden once said, adding that it’d be, “a disaster” to drill for oil in the Arctic—“a big disaster, in my view.”

Do some of you not realize how often he lies? It’s more than the standard politician lie/truth average, somehow. Now, this was to the benefit of ConocoPhillips. So, we’ll head to Open Secrets to look for the crumbs.

Gee, that is a lot of money being spent.

I wonder why there was a major spike last year, ahead of the drilling permit being granted in Alaska? That bump was the most they’ve spent in a very long time and it clearly paid off. They didn’t even hide it, but what need is there to hide anything these days? As long as it benefits folks with power, nothing will ever be illegal.

Note that Trump did try to push this forward, but issues stopped progress and required Biden approval. The project looks to add nearly 600 million barrels of Earth blood over a few decades and will produce 300+ million metric tons of carbon dioxide to the planet over the same amount of time.

As expected, job creation was promoted as a positive, as if any job is worth praise and as if we aren’t allowed to suggest some jobs shouldn’t exist.

This bipartisan move, a thing that only exists when the programmed culture wars aren’t at play, was clearly the result of a get rich play.

The Democrats come out to oppose something, then get paid a lot by a related industry, then pass whatever that industry wants. Rinse and repeat.

Perhaps I’m being to hard on our Commander in Chief, though. I mean, the dude clearly is just a puppet more than anything else. But that is dangerous in it’s own way, is it not!? Alas, the approval of Willow is another bullet wound to the planet that we were meant to take care of. We can’t wait for the next Republican president to take office for so many of you to start caring again!

I’m tired, too. Use that exhaustion instead of letting it use you, though! Dig deeper into what the dude has been doing as President. I promise it’s far more damage than you realize and once you can look past the partisan cult grip that has a firm grasp on much of America the better off you’ll be.
