It was a historical run for a team nobody had hopes for. A coach on the hot seat now has a damn ego, name currently removed from the hit list. Goals scored, shots blocked. This team is finally clicking and it’s been emotional to watch.

Any diehard fan will likely be blunt and tell you they had low expectations for the season, yet a workhorse group of men and some decent strategy has shown that they are capable of beating anyone with the Islanders, Caps, and Flyers as the only teams they need to avenge thus far.

Then, when the unit was on a 13-0 run, some no-goal calls botched the run and turned a couple of shitstain zebras into mega heels.

Let me quickly give Toronto some credit, because their 1st period goals were a thing of beauty. I appreciated the chess match and high drama second period, too.

The problem was a set of goals that turned out to be the main takeaway angle of the game.

When you love hockey, every game is a film.

These two calls took an axe to the skull standing in for momentum and the fuckers disguised as professional officials castrated New Jersey.

They finally got on the board with 5 and change left but it was far too late.

Folks, this was indeed a white knuckle kind of game and a thrill ride to watch, but the comedic value is lacking in quality here despite the efforts promoted by the striped clowns to make a mockery of the game.

Tune in on Friday as New Jersey faces Buffalo at 8 to watch the team get back on track.

Let me close with a shout out to the Rochester Americans. I attended a recent game with my family and we were present in support of the opposition, the Comets (NJ's AHL affiliate).

Arriving at a game when you’re there wearing rival colors can at times make for an intimidating experience. I love Rochester, but it can be a pretty fucked up place. I have had issues at Red Wing games when Syracuse comes to town and I show up wearing my Mets gear.

I also had a small dick energy Yankees fan with a fucked up face and mommy issues try to follow me home after a game once because I told him to stop being a cunt to everyone around him.

I had a window bashed out and had evidence in Rochester. I called the cops for some reason and was told Public Safety handles those situations. That department admitted they didn’t care and that they weren’t investigating smash and grabs. Of course, Rochester has a huge budget for their police yet does nothing with it.

I have an unpublished story about a local church further destroying the lives of local homeless people that live downtown.

This is all to say that I felt very welcome. I also appreciated the energy the fans has for their team. The game was great and my kids got into it BIG by the end. My efforts to get them into hockey were fulfilled.

The Comets won as heels, bringing a good intensity throughout (and after).

They’d drop the rematch at home immediately afterward, for the record.
